Information:
Amy Galloway is the Assistant Principal and Special Education Coordinator at KIPP Philadelphia Elementary Academy. She was the founding special education teacher at KPEA during the 2010- 2011 school year. Prior to this, she worked at KIPP Philadelphia Charter School for three and a half years providing learning support services to students in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, in addition to coordinating Saturday School. Amy did her undergraduate studies at Penn State University, majoring in Communication Arts and Sciences, and she has a Master’s degree from Chestnut Hill College in Special Education. She began teaching in the South Bronx section of New York City, with Teach for America, and has worked with Teach for America in various roles to help train and develop new special education teachers. She is very excited to move to KPEA and be able to impact students’ development during the crucial early childhood time.
